Museo de Bellas Artes de Tandil, junio 2012.

La instalación fue una obra conjunta junto a las artistas Enriqueta Bustillo y Agustina Alcorta para una muestra colectiva de nuestra obra en el MUMBAT. Consistió de tres árboles tejidos de hierro y alambre y un centenar de frutos textiles. Los frutos imitaban la técnica de las bolsitas de lavanda de mi abuela Tita: tomé  mis proyectos textiles inconclusos acumulados en mi taller, los cortamos y con ese material llenamos paquetitos contenidos por la tela transparente de las bolsas de verdulería. La dinámica del armado de los frutos, también como con las bolsitas de lavanda, fue colectiva: nos fuimos juntando en diferentes casas entre mujeres y niños a cortar, rellenar y coser esos frutos.

Ya en la sala del Museo, los frutos dispuestos en el suelo bajo los árboles de alamabre, invitaban a ser recogidos para ser colgados en las ramas de los árboles. La instalación significó para nosotras, además del goce de trabajar en conjunto y la posibilidad de que mis proyectos inconclusos por fin fueran “fructíferos¨, también el “devolver el fruto al árbol” como una reconciliación simbólica, pero no por eso menos sanadora, con nuestra Naturaleza.     Ph: Carlos Duarte

Tge installation was a joint work with the artists Enriqueta Bustillo and Agustina Alcorta for a collective exhibition of our work in the MUMBAT. It consisted of three woven trees of iron and wire and a hundred textile fruits. The fruits imitated the technique of my grandmother Tita's lavender sachets: I took my unfinished textile projects accumulated in my workshop, we cut them and with that material we filled little packages contained by the transparent fabric of the greengrocery bags. The dynamics of the assembly of the fruits, also as with the lavender sachets, was collective: we gathered in different houses between women and children to cut, fill and sew those fruits. Already in the hall of the Museum, the fruits arranged on the ground under the redwood trees, invited to be picked up to be hung on the tree branches. The installation meant for us, in addition to the enjoyment of working together and the possibility that my unfinished projects were finally "fruitful", also "returning the fruit to the tree" as a symbolic reconciliation, but no less healing, with our nature.
